JACK QUARTET

Library of Congress residency

JACK begins a digital residency at the Library of Congress taking a close look Elliott Carter's epic String Quartet No. 3 and (also epic) Duo for Violin and Piano, played by Austin and Conrad Tao. To help make sense of Carter's work, we'll feature music by Ruth Crawford Seeger and 14th century French composer Rodericus, both of whom foreshadowed Carter's elegant style, and two works by Tyshawn Sorey, who continues to evolve the style.

Tune in on Thursday, December 3 at 8pm Eastern!
