RESIA'S ARTISTS AT THE ECHO PRIZE 2017

On Sunday 29 October, seven Resia's artists will be awarded the Echo Prize Klassik 2017 in Hamburg.
Congratulations to Maurizio Pollini, Daniel Hope, Ksenjia Sidorova,
Renaud Capuçon, Fazil Say, Sabine Meyer, Quartetto di Cremona.
The awarding ceremony, held at the Elbphilharmonie, will include also a concert involving many of the winner artists (among them Maurizio Pollini, Ksenjia Sidorova and Daniel Hope).
The evening will be broadcasted live on German TV channel ZDF.

BENEDETTO LUPO AND THE PIANO CONCERTO

Tonight in Trieste will make its debut an extremly interesting project with Benedetto Lupo and the Orchestra da Camera di Mantova, performing three piano concerts in just one evening. 
The idea is to explore the evolution of the piano concerto form, beginning with Concerto n.1 by Antonio Salieri, proceeding with Concerto K.459 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, to end with Concerto n.2 by Ludwig van Beethoven.
The project, extremly demanding especially for the pianist, will be held in different cities: on 23 October in Trieste, then in Cremona (16 January 2018), in Pavia (19 January 2018), in Mantova (27 February 2018).

TITO CECCHERINI AT TEATRO ALLA SCALA

Among the events of the 26° Festival Milano Musica, on Suday 22 October, Tito Ceccherini will make his debut at Teatro alla Scala to conduct the Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala in a concert which includes the ouverture Manfred by Robert Schumann, The Miraculous Mandarin by Béla Bartók and, above all, La nuova Euridice secondo Rilke (for voice and orchestra) by Salvatore Sciarrino, whom the Festival is dedicated to as to celebrate the Italian composer 70th birthday. 
The concert will be also an homage to the memory of Claudio Abbado and Luciana Pestalozza and will be broadcasted live on Rai Radio3.

DANIEL SMITH AT THE TEATRO COMUNALE IN BOLOGNA

On Friday 20 October, Daniel Smith will make his debut with the Orchestra of Teatro Comunale di Bologna, with an extremly intense program including Shostakovich Symphony n.12 op.112 "The year 1917".
The morning of the concert, Maestro Smith rehearsals with the Teatro Comunale Orchestra will be open to the pubblic, in collaboration with the Festival Bologna Modern 2017.

LUCA BURATTO DEBUT AT CARNEGIE HALL

On 11th October Luca Buratto made his recital debut at the Carnegie Hall in New York with great success among the public and the critics, playing an intense program with works by György Ligeti, Leos Janácek, Sergej Prokofiev and Thomas Adès.
The British composer was in the audience and he particularly enjoied Luca Buratto's interpretation of his own Traced Overhead, congratulating in public with the young Italian pianist.The concert ended with Humoreske by Robert Schumann, indeed Buratto's favourite composer, also recorded in his successful debut album.

JOHN AXELROD

After the successfull season's opening with "his" ROSS (Real Orquestra Sinfonica de Sevilla) on 22 September, John Axelrod is back to Milan to conduct the Orchestra Verdi which he has a wonderful and longlasting relationship with, as he has also been Principal Guest Conductor. 
On 5, 6 and 8 October Maestro Axelrod will conduct La Verdi in a very intense and emotional program, with music by Takemitsu, Strauss and Mahler.

At the beginning of October, John Axelrod was at Teatro La Fenice in Venezia to conduct another wonderful concert, which has been also recorded and which will be released soon on CD.
After Milan, on 19, 20 and 21 October Maestro Axelrod will conduct in Groningen the Noord Nederlands Orkest, one of the major dutch orchestras, in a program with Glinka, Shostakovich, Ligeti and Rachmaninov.https://www.nno.nu/concert/rollercoaster

QUARTETTO DI CREMONA

A moment of important achivements and recognitions for the Quartetto di Cremona who has now the opportunity to play the "Paganini Quartet" by Antonio Stradivari, loaned by the  Nippon Music Foundation and once owned by Nicolò Paganini.
The first concert with the four wonderful Strads was in Hamburg (29 September) at the oustanding Laeiszhalle, where the Quartetto di Cremona has seduced the pubblic with an "Italian Journey" program.
At the moment the ensemble is on tour in India and at the end of October (29/10) will attend the awarding ceremony of the Echo Klassik 2017 (Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg), as winner of the prize for the best chamber music recording (XIX century repertoire) awarded to volume N.7 of the Beethoven cycle, recently completed with the German label Audite.

QUARTETTO DI CREMONA AND BEETHOVEN VOLUME 8

It is alaready a success the latest CD of the Beethoven cycle (volume N.8) recordered by the Quartetto di Cremona for the German label Audite.
Pizzicato Magazine considers it "engaging until the last note" and states that the "Quartetto di Cremona finishes their outstanding Beethoven cycle with vibrant and highly passionate performances", giving to volume 8 the Supersonic Award.
Certainly another good news for the Italian ensemble after being awarded with the prize Echo Klassik 2017 for volume n.7.

STAFF RESIA

We are pleased to announce that VITTORIA FONTANA, after a preliminary settling in, has duly begun her professional relationship with RESIA.
Previously Assistant to the Chief of Artistic Dep. at Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Head of Artistic Dep. at Fondazione Teatro Ponchielli in Cremona and Coordinator of the String Quartet Master at the Stauffer Academy in Cremona, Vittoria will collaborate with us in the artists’ management and seeking new and more effective ways of promotion. 
 
We believe Vittoria will be of great help for us all, for the artists we already manage and those who will come, as well as for the relationship with the promoters and our colleagues.

ENRICO DINDO AT STRESA FESTIVAL

Principal guest at the final concert of the 2017 edition of the Stresa Festival, Enrico Dindo will perform Cello Concerto n.1 by Dmtrj Šostakovič with the Filarmonica del Teatro Regio di Torino and conducted by Gianandrea Noseda.
The concert is already sold out.

JOHN AXELROD IN JAPAN

An intense japanese period for John Axelrod, who has recently conducted with great success the outstanding NHK Symphony Orchestra in Tokyo and who will be in Kyoto for two concerts (2 and 3 September) with the famous Kyoto Symphony Orchestra.
Always keen on proposing very variuos programs, in Tokyo he conducted US composers such as Bernstein and Chick Chorea, while in Kyoto he will be conducting a very inspiring repertoire with music by Takemitsu, R. Strauss, Berlioz.

QUARTETTO DI CREMONA AT THE BUSONI PIANO COMPETITION

For the first time, in the 2017 edition of the outstanding Buson Piano Competition one of the six semifinalists has been assigned a special prize for the best chamber music performance, awarded by the Quartetto di Cremona.
After two intense rounds followed by many people both in the hall and in web streaming, the Quartetto di Cremona awarded the young Russian pianist Anna Geniushene, who has been then ammitted to the Competition final, held in Bolzano on 1 September.
