This week two important debuts at Teatro Petruzzelli di Bari: Maxim Emelyanychev, who will conduct an Italian orchestra for the first time, and Gabriele Carcano, at his first experience on Bari's stage.
Although only 27 years old, Maxim Emelyanychev is Principal Conductor of the baroque ensemble Il Pomo d'Oro, well-known all over Europe for its numerous tournèe and for winning the Echo Klassik 2016 award for the recording of Haydn Symphonies and Concerts.
In Bari there will be also another successful young performer: Gabriele Carcano, whose first CD dedicated to early Brahms compositions for piano has been wonderfully reviewed by the international critics. Among authors closed to Carcano's sensitivity, there are certainly Mozart and Beethoven, both in the program of the concert at Petruzzelli (Mozart, Concerto n.23 K.488 and Beethoven, Fantasy op.80 for piano, chorus and orchestra).
To complete the program, Mendelssohn Symphony n.5 "Reform".
