New representation: DAVIDE GIUSTI

We're delighted to announce the young Italian tenor DAVIDE GIUSTI is joining Resia Artists roster for his worldwide management.

Despite the young age, he won the second prize at the Placido Domingo's Operalia International Singing Competition in 2017 and he established himself as a refined performer praised by the international critique:

Davide Giusti's RODOLFO is fascinating, charismatic for his fine acting and the spontaneity of his vocal emission. His voice suited this role perfectly: the tone and velvety lower and medium register perfectly combine with his free and sparkling top notes. - Irina Sevastyanova, Belcanto

As NEMORINO Davide Giusti is beautiful and moving. His acting and vocal skills are just excellent and he shows an extraordinary talent in driving the audience to laughter as well as tears. In the famous aria Una furtiva lagrima he confirms his talent as a very refined musician and a voice timbre evoking the great tenors of the past. - Jean-Marc Onkelinx, L’Opera

Among his recent and future engagements: Rodolfo in La Bohème at Tchaikovsky State Opera in Perm (conductor Teodor Currentzis) and for Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow (conductor Evan Rogister), Fenton in Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor by Nicolai in Liège, the Giovane Konrad in Le Braci  by Tutino (conductor Francesco Cilluffo) for Festival della Valle d'Itria in Martina Franca and for Opera di Firenze, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni at Teatro Comunale in Bologna (conductor Michele  Mariotti), Rodolfo in La Bohème in Basel, Edoardo in  La cambiale di matrimonio at Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, Ismaele in Nabucco at Grand Théatre de Genève.

This collaboration proudly marks the opening of the new Opera department at Resia Artists in partnership with Massimiliano Becco Gagliardo and Athole Still Artists Ltd.

Andrea Lucchesini

Great success for the young conductor Daniel Smith that debuted with Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore at Den Norske Opera, in Oslo. The journalist Magnus Andersson (Klassekampen) has written:

“A-Team in Oslo: In the orchestra pit, conductor Daniel Smith does a glorious job. Clearly a specialist in this style, he mastered the rapid throws of the music's powerful rhetoric.”
