Tito Ceccherini: from Ligeti to Haydn

From Ligeti's Le Grand Macabre at the Opernhaus in Zurich to Haydn's Il Mondo della Luna at the Philharmonie in Paris, the extraordinary artistic journey of Tito Ceccherini.

JOHN AXELROD, TOUR TO GERMANY WITH THE ROSS

Great success for John Axelrod with the Real Orquesta Sinfónica De Sevilla on Germany tour completely sold out, standing ovation and good reviews.

Die Welt from Hamburg writes : "During the concert Axelrod profiled the pure orchestral works imaginatively with excellent balanced sound, in which especially the saxophonist and the flutist enthused".

And the Hamburger Abendblatt: "John Axelrod succeded fantastically in exposing the many timbres with wood winds and strings used as soloists".

Dialogues of Andrea Lucchesini Disque du jour pour Artalinna

New beautiful review of the album Dialogues by Andrea Lucchesini, considered the record of the day for the French magazine Artalinna:

Tito Ceccherini

Superb performance of Tito Ceccherini in Le Grand Macabre at the Opernhaus Zurich:
"A master of his craft, conductor Tito Ceccherini confidently took the Philharmonia Zürich through two uninterrupted hours of Ligeti’s hellish and high-water sounds. [...] don’t see this production if you’re expecting something ordinary. Ordinary, it is not." wrote Bachtrack

"Amadeus in Concert" is acclaimed in Sevilla

great success of Andrea Lucchesini that with Carlo Boccadoro told us about his new album dedicated to the couples Scarlatti/Berio and Schubert/Widmann

MILAN: MAMU Magazzino Musica - 26 January 2019 at 17.30

Andrea Lucchesini talks with Carlo Boccadoros about the release of the new album with which he completes a project created with Luciano Berio.

Recorded at the end of September last year on the Audite label, Andrea Lucchesini's new CD contrasts different musical eras in a dialogue that reveals unexpected affinities. In the first part of the programme, Lucchesini relates two historically very different Italian composers: Domenico Scarlatti with six Sonatas for keyboard and Luciano Berio with his Six Encores, fulfilling a project developed by Berio and by Lucchesini himself shortly before the composer's death, to whom Lucchesini was linked by a professional and friendly relationship.

John Axelrod

John Axelrod celebrates the New Year with his Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla and the Rumenian soprano Teodora Gheorghiu:
"Faced with such a diverse and varied repertoire, it is important to admire the versatility of the orchestra adapting to each passage with the technical security of its high degree of professionalism, demonstrating to be a faithful translator of the taste of its principal conductor, John Axelrod, who has managed to enter each of the operatic passages with great mastery of the lyric genre, given his ability to direct and accompany the voice." wrote El Mundo

John Axelrod made the impossible possible!

John Axelrod conducted the monumental Mass by Bernstein at the Duesseldorfer Tonhalle: "The daring mixture of amber typical musical vocals and "West Side Story" sound, from romantic symphonic passages and gospel, jazz and soul, from acting, opera and worship, is a challenge for all. For symphonic composer, music club, street and youth choir, all of whom put on a sparkling show. Conductor John Axelrod succeeds in making the impossible possible for a "normal" concert performance. He has all the players, singers and musicians in the sights and makes the symphonic in some places even really beautiful bloom." wrote the Westdeutsche Zeitung
