Debut concert with the Dresdner Philharmonie
The young conductor proved himself to be someone who worked with elegant determination, with care and inspiration as well as a palpable, deep familiarity with the respective pieces. And he inspired the Philharmonic Orchestra without gagging them interpretatively. All this paid off especially in the Rachmaninov Symphony.
With it, a Russian cosmos of emotions spread over the listeners, endlessly wide, full of longing and pain, with rough and soft colours, powerful and touching at the same time. […] A very great merit of Stanislav Kochanovsky was also that he kept track of this vast, exuberant wealth of musical thoughts and emotions, did not digress and did not get lost in details. Together with the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra, music was performed in an exciting and harmonious way. Which Freshness and what a hearty, pushing forward approach in the Allegro molto, what opulence and ever-increasing radiance in the finale!”
