Quartetto di Cremona wins the prize Echo Klassik 2017 for Volume N.7 of the Ludwig van Beethoven string quartets cycle, realised by the German label Audite.
It's the first time in the history of the prize, awarded by the Bundesverband Musikindustrie (Federal Music Industry Association), that an Italian string quartet wins for the best recording in the section "chamber music of the XIX century" and, more over, for the performance of a German composer.
Volume N.7 was already recognized as one of the best recording by the Quartetto di Cremona, awarded with the Supersonic Award by Pizzicato Magazine and getting a wonderful review on The Strad. The last CD of the cycle (volume 8) will be realised in September 2017 and presented in Germany on 29/09 while the Quartetto di Cremona will be playing at the Laeisz Halle in Hamburg.
