Tito Ceccherini conducts I Puritani in Frankfurt
Worth noting the excellent playing culture of the orchestra and careful direction of Maestro Ceccherini, the singers were accompanied in such a way that they could unfold “pianis" and pure italian Belcanto manner such as you may rarely experience north of the Alps. [...]
At the podium of the excellently disposed Frankfurt Opera and Museum Orchestra, Tito Ceccherini led attentively and cared for the orchestral underpaintings to the archetypal emotional worlds of the protagonists in a spirited but also sensitive way. Dynamic, transparent, slightly springy in tone, quick, detailed in a jagged rhythm, the orchestra came and wove the soloists the ideal accompanying sound carpet.
Such unusual quality engagement was honored frenetically by the enthusiastic audience. The reviewer joined in and already ordered two more private visits to this in every respect fantastic production.
For bel canto friends a "MUST”!
